Here you can see shots of the fourth-year students performing three pieces – a poem, “The Leader” by McGough; Prelude “Minstrels” by Debussy and Prelude in Eb minor by Shostakovitch.

Mai Yorita – 3rd-year student
Forty-two (42, yes!) different groups performed over four days. There were fairy-tales by whole classes, solos and duos from tender Class 9 pupils and cool Class 11′s, one large group from Kimberton U.S.A., another group from Brazil, not to mention 4th-year eurythmy students, and eurythmy stage-groups. During the mornings and afternoons courses were held while the groups rehearsed.
The one group this year from England – the 4th-year students from Stourbridge – were much enjoyed by the audience. Two of the three pieces shown were humorous: “The Leader” by Roger McGough was choreographed by Joel (from Mexico) as “a day in the life of a eurythmy student”.
It brought the house down! This was followed by a Prelude “Minstrels” (Debussy), where our three lads showed eurythmical elements caricatured as the music demands. Shostakovich’s Prelude in Eb minor concluded the contribution. Yes, I was proud of them! http://www.forumeurythmie.de/fotos2010/impressionen.htm
I was also pleased to see our two post-graduate students, Edwin and Marcia in the stage-group course from Dornach. We saw beautiful singing gestures in Shostakovich’s E-minor piano trio, No. 2 (complete), and a delightful story of the temperaments. They had improved!
I hope more people from England can join next year!
